GoBeyond is a habit, planning and mindfulness app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you always keep. The short version: your content belongs to you, your voice never leaves your phone, and you can export or delete everything yourself, in the app, at any time.
What we collect and why
- Account — your email address (and name/avatar if you sign in with Google or Apple), managed by our authentication provider, Supabase. Used only to sign you in and attach your backup to you.
- App data — your habits, tasks, journal entries, checklists, vision items, affirmation texts and settings are stored on your device. When you are signed in, an encrypted-in-transit backup of this data is stored with Supabase (hosted in Singapore, AWS ap-southeast-1) so you can restore it.
- Voice recordings — affirmations you record with the microphone are stored on your device only. They are not uploaded. Uninstalling the app, signing out, or deleting a recording removes the audio file from the device.
- Diagnostics & analytics — crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) and anonymous usage events (Firebase Analytics), such as "a habit was completed". Events never contain your text: no journal words, no affirmation wording, no habit names — counts and flags only.
- Purchases — subscriptions are processed by Google Play / the App Store and managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card or UPI details.
AI features
Some premium features use Google's Gemini models through our own server. When you use them, only the specific content needed for that request is sent — and for anything personal (like a journal reflection), the app shows you exactly what will be sent and asks first. We do not store your prompts or the model's raw responses on our servers beyond what is needed to deliver the result, and your content is never used by us to train models.
Notifications & permissions
Reminders are scheduled on your device. The microphone is used only while you record an affirmation. Biometric unlock (Face ID / fingerprint), if you enable it, is verified entirely by your device — we never receive biometric data.
Your rights and controls
- Export — Settings → "Export my data" gives you your complete data as JSON, anytime, free.
- Delete — Settings → Danger Zone → "Delete account" permanently erases your cloud data and login. See delete your account for details and for deletion without the app installed.
- Analytics — diagnostics are only active in release builds and contain no personal content.
Retention
Your backup exists for as long as your account does. Deleting your account removes it immediately and permanently. Crash and analytics data are retained under Firebase's standard retention periods.
Children
GoBeyond is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
A note on wellbeing. GoBeyond offers habit tracking and mindfulness exercises. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical or psychological care. If you are in distress in India, Tele-MANAS is available at 14416, free, 24×7.
